It already does... BUT you need all clients to be using NFSv4 w/KRB5,
for example this tutorial for RHEL5:

I'm guessing that's not possible for you right now, but maybe it could be a
long range plan.

See above. Not sure on the performance if you have a lot of ACLs--
do some tests.
