Yes, it prints the number out (and I think a newline) as a regular
keyboard input. So when using itrackmine, you select the input field
with a mouse, then use the barcode scanner, and it automatically
searches it's database for that UPC and offers you products from said
database. Which is nice, because you don't have to install any
software.

You may find a website to do it. I noticed once that dropping UPC
codes into google often provides a special link to a UPC database.
