[SLL] Xmodmap and keysyms after X upgrade

So I just got done with a whopping 480-something package upgrade (one or 
more of which were X-server related) on my Arch box... and after fixing 
broken nVidia drivers and good stuff like that, and getting X going 
again, I'm noticing that a lot of my key mappings are different, such as 
my former left arrow now being Alt_R. I have a .Xmodmap that explicitly 
lists every keycode with its symbol, so... somehow my keycodes changed? 
Is this normal?

BTW, I'm using a Sun Type 7 keyboard, if that's relevant.
