[SLL] finding Linux compatible webcam

I posted this question in an Amazon.com discussion, and received the
following reply:

| FYI - I talked to Customer Service and found that Amazon received a
| shipment in mid-December. It's hard to say which type that would
| have been, as I haven't seen anything from Logitech that says
| exactly when they cut over to BCD 9 units. Amazon ships units from
| multiple locations, and each of them do not necessarily ship older
| units first (ie, they are not FIFO), so there's no way to predict
| which type of unit one would get if an order were placed
| today. Also, Amazon cannot open boxes to check the BCD for us,
| apparently due to agreements they have with their suppliers. So
| unfortunately the only way to improve the probability of receiving a
| newer unit is to hold off for some period of time - a month or two
| was suggested, but there are no guarantees of course...
