# uname -a

It's a matter of logistics. Can't take it down for upgrades. The other servers are
running FC4 but none of them have more than 512MB of memory. Just need some clients to
pay their bills rather than skip out with bankruptcy. Got hit real hard in 2008 with
almost $280k in losses mostly due to freight brokers going banko and I have yet to
collect a dime on bond claims. By the time, the bills are unpaid by 4 weeks, the bonds
are exhausted from others' claims and they are out of business. Trucking business
sucks now.
What's even more strange is that FC1 box has not had a clean install since Redhat 4.1
- just upgrades, many of them. You can probably imagine the problems for example
updates of bind, apache and MySQL. It has had hard drives, power supplies and even
motherboards changed out. It was a big update from RH9 to FC1. Down for several hours.
I need to move to CentOS to get off the major update wagon.
