I like using epylog for monitoring my logs. Its written in python so its
easily hackable, has a really nice regex based interface for weeding out
log lines that you want to ignore and it can generate static html pages
as well as wend you emails.
Hmm, its homepage at http://linux.duke.edu/projects/epylog/index.ptml
seems to be gone. I'm not sure where current development is being hosted.
