KDE4 on Intrepid is a disaster. I only use one KDE application
regularly -- Akregator -- but I use it heavily (Lifrea for Gnome
is not as useful, and neither of them matches OS-X-only
NetNewsWire in terms of functionality and usability). The KDE4
version of Akregator included with Intrepid is unusably slow, when
it starts without crashing, on a 1.4 GHz PIII with 1.5 GB RAM and
on a dual-core 2 GHz machine with 4 GB RAM.
As a result of disappointment with the upgrade to KDE4, someone
set up a Launchpad PPA repository with KDE3 packages for Intrepid.
