Woo!  Thank you.  I'd noticed a while back that there was a major version
number discrepancy between what I'd sucked down onto my work-Doze lappy and
what was on my Ubuntu desktop... 

/me wonders if this works for 8.04 too; I haven't been brave enough to try
the Ibex on the box I depend on for email... at this point, might just wait
for Jaunty.  The thing about releases immediately after LTS ones is they
tend to have some bustage in'em... 'course by this point they may well be
fixed, but when you're a BOFH (as opposed to a dev) you tend to be chary of
such things...
