Here is Scientific American article titled SOFTWARE'S DIRTY LITTLE
SECRET. the article is an interview with Grady Booch, who is called
the Indiana Jones of computer programming. Source:

The Scientific American page leads to a number of thought provoking
software articles.

Is recursive code, written in assembler and designed to operate in
1600 bytes of memory, only found in ancient tombs? Will discrete
mathematics and abstract algebra be considered necessary to write
solid code? Could reliable software be developed using mathematically
provable constructs?

In the current era of software, many forget there exist software teams
that work for years to develop as little as ten thousand lines of
bullet proof code. Apparently, the development teams are forgotten
due to the reliability of the code. It may serve many in the software
industry to be aware of these people, their ideas, and their
techniques.
