Yep, I know the history, but that doesn't stop a distro from shipping
both alsa and oss drivers (Fedora did in the FC1/2 days, iirc). I'd be
sort of surprised if that was the case with SLED10 though, since its not
*that* old a kernel (2.6.16-based) and SUSE was the major driving force
behind alsa.
