By "promote" I mean promote it as a place to talk about linux, nothing

This is the main reason we asked, if a large part of its purpose was 
meant for organizing things in the Seattle area we don't want to disturb 
that.  But as I scan back through the postings for the last 6 months or 
so this would be a pretty dead list if it only got used for event 
organization.
