Erm. I take my laptop into work with me, and plug it into my 21" LCD
screen, and waiting usb keyboard/mouse. A quick xrandr call and I'm
using the native resolution on the LCD without restarting my X
session. I can work all day there, either wired or wireless, and
quickly disconnect and pop into / out of meetings. Thanks to xrandr I
just resize the desktop and don't lose session. This way the only time
I'm stuck with the small laptop keyboard is when I'm away from my desk,
or at home. Not a huge deal, and well worth the ease of just having
one desktop environment to deal with, and one continual session.
