That's the reason devices are now coming with the capability to put
themselves to sleep due to inactivity.  We need to continue this effort
with Linux (great progress with gnome-power-manager) so that one
doesn't have to /think/ about saving energy, it just happens as a
natural course of events (or the lack thereof).
