Turns out that the perceived firefox problems aren't firefox at all.
It's just that they have to allocate memory over and over again for
lots of small things like fonts and images that come from the web.
This can lead to a lot of fragmentation in the allocator provided by
the system, and Window's is particularly bad.

That said, in Firefox 3 a /ton/ of work is being put in to do
allocations differently as to not trigger these types of scenarios.
