Actually, the only sales figures for the Classmate puts it at ~ $250
per unit rather then the OLPC's ~$188 per unit (

that Intel was taking a loss was said by Nicholas Negroponte, but
given Intel's costs are unknown (and not public (yet)), it's only
conjecture on his part.
