/A sales guy I know insists email is useless./

   LOL!  Sales guys!  The last survey I read said people spend 80% of 
their online time using email.

    I agree with him that email is insufficient for CRM.  The basic 
email fields Date, From, and Subject are simply not sufficient to track 
long-term customer contacts, orders,  invoices, deliveries, and support 
history.  A client of mine uses SalesForce, and loves it.

    Thanks for the tip on Chandler, I'll check it out.
