[SLL] Zombie that absolutely won't die

So in playing with a virtual machine last night, I inadvertently sent a 
Ctrl-Alt-Backspace to my main machine, instead of the VM, and I somehow 
got stuck with a zombied VirtualBox process. I tried killing the 
process, and of course that didn't work, and I've figured out that it's 
parent is init, which makes me wonder why init isn't taking care of it. 
Anybody know what's going on?
