I take it that the data on the drive is important enough that paying
in the low four figures for it is more reasonable than taking a shot
with SpinRite.  (Or of course you are pretty sure that the drive is
considered a brick--rather than a problem drive--by machines you plug
it into.  Or as in one failure I had, which appeared to be the heads
falling off their arm.  In any case, you're pretty sure clean room
surgery will be needed.)
