Yep, its part of the distro. Just 'yum install vpnc'. Works even slicker
for a roadwarrior laptop type user if you also 'yum install
NetworkManager-vpnc', which is (obviously) NetworkManager integration of
vpnc. 'Tis how my own Fedora laptop connects to the Cisco vpn in our
office.
Caveats of vpnc though: it doesn't support all types of rekeying, so
while the every-8-hours rekey typically works fine now, the
every-24-hours one doesn't, so its not great for a nailed pipe (of
course, most IT depts don't want you doing that anyway...). It also
users a lot more cpu power than the Cisco client to do the same crypto
work (also uses more than openswan, but openswan is a huge pain in the
ass to get working with Cisco vpns).
