I just booted into a Fedora live CD and here is the meminfo:

[fedora at localhost ~]$ cat /proc/meminfo
MemTotal: 3078552 kB

And here is my CPU:

[fedora at localhost ~]$ cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 6
model : 15
model name : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz

It is a T61 Thinkpad so I am wondering if it is a BIOS issue?
