[SLL] Mandriva anyone?

Hello all,

Around 2001-2002, when a totaly newbie coming from the Windows world
would ask "what Linux should I try?", I often directed them towards
the GUIness of Mandrake.

Is Mandriva still relevant today? I only heard the name very rarely
these days, and never in a sentence like "I use Mandriva". Did they
get bitchslapped into oblivion by Ubuntu?
