The 5L, 6L, and 1100 all use a vertical input tray. The 4L has the tray
underneath, and I've never seen multifeeding problems with it, despite
having a bunch in the old computer labs in high school that we'd print out
things like all of the perl manpages on.
At RE-PC there are piles of 5Ls and 6Ls lying around labelled with a warning
that goes something like 'single sheet feed only' - I've never seen a 4L in
that pile.
I've stayed away from vertical input trays ever since.
