[SLL] OT--Hardware: New Build Won't go to POST

After duking it out with hardware for about 7 years, I would believe almost
anything! Like the problem with the wide MSI motherboards I had that refused
to boot if they were in a certain kind of case, but would run on the table!
I had TWO of those although they were different models and socket types (462
& 939). It was baffling because a narrower 462 Abit board would run fine in
the same case that the wider MSI rejected.
I also had an INWIN case that I scrapped because after 4-5 years working
just fine, it was shorting boards, and they would refuse to boot and hang at
the first Post screen and stay there for all eternity. I guess that case
must have gotten distorted by all the times I went into it to mess with its
internals...it must have had at least 3 different boards in there at one
time or another.
As to plugging the keyboard in repeatedly, that is scary. I heard you can
burn out the keyboard ports. That board sounds defective from the get go.
But then an RMA is a serious exercise in patience (the one month turn around
time) besides which they require you to pay for the shipping both ways.
Whenever I get a problem, I wonder why the hell I subject myself to this and
drive myself crazy?
