I have moved Mailman lists from one Linux system to another,
newer Linux system by simply copying the /var data from the old
machine to the new one, then running a Mailman script that
searches the /var for lists rebuilding the aliases as necessary
for postfix. I don't remember the script name offhand, but it
didn't take too long to figure it out reading the scripts.

The last update to Mailman I did was to 2.1.9. When I updated
from 2.1.4 to 2.1.9 it automagically did everything necessary to
the installed data without any glitches (that I noticed).
