[SLL] newest "date" in RHL coreutils messes up my script

Interesting, it's been around for a while.  But in RedHat 7.3 (I did  
say "a while") putting a space between the - and the 1 leads to  
adding one day, not subtracting.  It subtracts (in that ancient  
version) without the space, and a newer version subtracts with the  
space.

These days, it's rare for me to learn something about RH 7.3 (because  
I don't mess about with it much)  ;-)  It's common for me to learn  
about current versions, since I have so much to learn.  Thanks, Andrew.

Now, can we use "teatime" as in the at command?
