The 9650SE is a different animal, though.  I'm guessing Eric picked up a
shiny new Silicon Mechanics machine last week, like I did.  I'm running
into the same problem with Debian Etch.  For Debian, 3ware provides an
etch install disk that supports the 9650SE.  Sadly, it doesn't have my
ethernet card module!

So, I was about to write to the list with a similar question.  Has
anybody successfully hacked a Debian install CD to add modules or even
an entire kernel that supports one's hardware?
