For those who don't know, Gutman is fairly respected in the
security/crypto world. Some of the stuff in there is
amazing. Amazing at least to think that someone thought
this was a good idea.
MS is trying to sell Vista on bling so that no one sees the
other stuff that you get.
Clearly the copy protection stuff is moot since the video
pirates etc. just rip whole DVDs including all the various
encryption schemes. A friend of mine in Brazil said he's
already seeing Vista install discs out for cheap. They
probably are not authorized by MS...
