[SLL] firefox using too much memory

For what it's worth, I tried this. I used ulimit to to set various limits 
before it ran the firefox binary.

In two attempts, I had crashes with core dumps. First time my shell said 
"memory fault" and this last time it was just "Abort".

So yes, I did restrict firefox, but not usable :)

It's especially interesting about firefox's abuse of memory since a few 
years ago, regular Netscape Navigator (plus X11 server) was useful on 
machines with 16MB to 32MB of physical memory and maybe 16MB to 64MB of 
swap.

Someone should go back to the code base of Netscape Navigator or early 
mozilla and maintain it for bug fixes but don't add new features unless it 
pasts tests on memory and resource usage and performance.

I don't use konqueror much, but I am curious about its memory usage.

Also, I need to try again: amaya, mMosaic, skipstone, epiphany, galeon, 
kazehakase, to compare memory usage and usability. And seamonkey.

To bad dillo and graphical links aren't good enough for me.
