Anyone using any trusted senders email whitelists (maybe via dnsbl)?
I quickly looked at three. And tested against a list of around 2700 IPs
with approximately 2400 good senders IPs. (Yes, I know this is a very
small test.) Some details below:
1) Sender Score Certified (formerly known as Bonded Sender)
(Bonded Sender Program Trusted sender in Bonded Sender Program)
http://www.senderscorecertified.com/
Senders pay between $1000 to $20000 per year (while receivers use database
for free).
dnsbl: query.bondedsender.org
** Zero matches against my small database.
2) SuretyMail (formerly known as the ISIPP IADB Email Senders
Accreditation Program)
ISIPP is Institute for Spam and Internet Public Policy
IADB is ISIPP Accreditation Database
Also known has "Vouched for Senders"
senders pay $120 to $3600 per year
http://www.isipp.com/iadb.php
http://www.isipp.com/receivers.php
(The CEO and a designer of the SuretyMail was an original founder of
Habeas.)
dnsbl: iadb.isipp.com
** One match against my database. It was for an IP from
constantcontact.com who sends me spam and mailing lists I don't want. The
SuretyMail code for the IP is "all mailing list mail is opt-in". I want
out :)
3) Habeas Accredited Senders
http://www.habeas.com/en-US/Receivers/safelist/
dnsbl: accredit.habeas.com
** Also zero matches against my database.
As you can see I didn't have any success. I was hoping that at least a few
valid sender IPs were "vouched" and "trusted" senders by these
organizations.
Please share your thoughts about this.
If I should use different dnsbl hosts let me know. (I list ones I tried
above.) Maybe I should not reverse the IPs like normal dnsbl?
Any others I should try?
Do any of you provide a public (or private) dnsbl for whitelisting? (I
know one of you has mentioned that they have a private dnsbl for
whitelisting.)
