[SLL] All my 64bit Ubuntu's stopped booting...so far my 32bit UbuntuME still goes

Yesterday I installed a 2.6.23 SMP kernel on a dual P-III Coppermine and it
ran flawlessly for 24 hours.  Then on a reboot it would try to load the
kernel and kept rebooting.  So I reconfig'd the kernel, re-compiled, loaded
and rebooted.  Repeat.  Repeat.  Same problem x2.  Beat on it for two hours
and then just pulled CPU#1.  All's well.  Machine's up and running sans one
processor for now.  I'm off to find another 500Mhz P-III CPU.
