[SLL] ipsec-tools help

hello, I've been lurking on this list for a while. I'm a junior sys
admin taking over after our sr sys admin left the company

we had to reboot a server (firewall and other functions) but apparently
when we did, we lost some in-memory configurations.

we had an ipsec tunnel established between our office and colo
facility, but its down now and I having trouble reestablishing it.

does anyone here have experience with ipsec-tools/racoon who can help
me figure out how to get this working again? I'm not sure what the
right questions are to start. we're running fedora core 5, 2.6.18
kernel, ipsec-tools 0.6.4-1.1

should I be able to ping the colo endpoint? (Network is unreachable)
