I know someone (a customer with home-based business) who ended up with
Nationwide the same way you did, and, like yours, the service was
terrible. I called Speakeasy to see if they could do any better, but
they said it really was Qwest's fault, and that because DSL is delivered
via copper... and because all copper is ultimately owned and controlled
by Qwest, they couldn't guarantee better reliability. They wound up
with cable modem and business account that comes with a static ip,
actual customer service, and no traffic restrictions. It's worked very
well so far.
