Uhh, actually, that's not true.

The 'stuff' that's having issues with redistributing is the logos.
They are subject to trademark laws, and Mozilla is free to revoke
Debian's redistribution rights of them, which is what happened. There
is no issue with the source vs binary builds. The issue is Mozilla
didn't like Debian's packages of Firefox, and so they told Debian they
couldn't use the Firefox name or logos.
