Legacy systems (Was: Re: [SLL] Will I be able to linux?)

 Thanks for a delightful message! Soon, I expect to be digging thru the
HDs at a local thrift/nonprofit store that is run for the benefit of
some good folks. I made friends with the owner, who has a fair bunch of
older computer stuff she doesn't know what to do with. As a result of
some recent Web digging, I found four Greater Boston Area
companies/orgs. that refurb. machines. Might want to work for them
part-time. During warmer weather, we have the MIT Flea Market, which is
great fun; know your seller!

 Someone is installing DR-DOS, Arachne (DOS-based graphical browser),
and an office suite called New Deal ($79; local product) into 286s with
pitifully-little RAM by today's standards. I'd hope to do the same with
Linux.

 Seems that even slow 386s often have HDs > 100MB.

 (Hey! I should keep the -v flag off!)
